Required building steps are incorporated into the building design massing in a modern and playful way to avoid a ‘wedding-cake-like’ look that has been resulted for many buildings under these provisions.
The building design also includes a continuation of these shoulders towards the neighboring properties, fitting to the content of current single family houses as well as being ready for larger (similar) future developments at the same time.
The building is designed to take advantage of the site grading to provide interaction and direct access but at the same time privacy for the ground floor units facing the busy street. These units also feature additional setbacks from the street, a private front yard/patio and direct access.
