Vertical plains have been introduced as major design element. They direct view toward north and south in reaction to the required stepped side yard setbacks ensuring light and ventilation for these narrow and long properties.
The plains also provide privacy between the residence and its neighbourhood. Contrasting with solid plains, soft materials and glazing infill between vertical plains provides air and light to the interior space.
